CIT focuses on applications of computer science to improving the life cycle of buildings and civil infrastructure. Our contributions to knowledge are in engineering.

Dr. Marianna Kopsida’s research focuses on developing and enhancing the acquisition of indoor as-built information, which were compared against the as-planned Building Information Model (BIM) in real time. Marianna is now working for Trimble Company Mixed Reality team.

Dr. Philipp Huethwohl’s research topic is based on image-based automated bridge assessment using enriched BIM models. The topic aims to assist inspection tasks on greater infrastructure elements like bridges. Philipp is currently on the process of PhD graduation and is willing to commercialise his project.
